Weapon of mass distraction, swarm of locusts, sound of a goat on the way to slaughter, simply annoying? One thing is sure, Vuvuzela are loud.
With up to 127 dB its sound pressure rivals the 130 dB of a jet engine. Translating as “thing that makes Vuvu”, its name sounds like an understatement. According to Wikipedia, the design of this instrument is attributed to a prominent supporter of Kaizer Chiefs FC, Freddie Saddam Maake.
